THE JOURNEY
From the first lines of code to my own apps.
Early in my career as a programmer, I worked as a PHP developer at a web agency in Berlin. When the FRITZ!Box appeared, I started developing software for the Mac and discovered how much I enjoyed it. Dial!Fritz became my first HOsy app for Mac in 2005. Apps for iPhone and iPad followed later.
What I love about software development is being able to try out my own ideas right away and turn them into a product. All I really need is a Mac and an idea. That's how my products came to life.

AWAY FROM THE SCREEN
At home in the Franconian Forest.
I live with my family in Wilhelmsthal in the Franconian Forest in Bavaria. Cycling has long been part of my life: I used to race mountain bikes, and today I enjoy riding both mountain and road bikes. Time outdoors and physical activity are the perfect balance to working at a screen. I have a particular fondness for cows: despite their size, they have a calming presence.
