THE RIGHT TOOL, RIGHT THERE

From a page.
To possibilities.

One familiar workspace for the details that make a document useful.

01 / 07

A place for every answer.

Give your PDFs text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, dropdowns and lists. Make every field feel like it belongs.

  • Set fonts, colors, borders and default values.
  • Align with guides, snapping and exact dimensions.
  • Define required fields and a clear tab order.
02 / 07

Useful details. Already filled in.

Add today’s date, your company name or a formatted amount to form fields and ordinary text elements. Keep as many reusable custom values as you need, locally on your Mac.

  • Choose a date format, including month, year or weekday.
  • Reuse text, whole numbers, decimals and currency amounts.
  • Update manually, when opening, or when saving in Eddini. Other readers show the saved text.
03 / 07

One PDF. A personal copy for everyone.

Turn a workshop confirmation, invitation or letter into a whole series of personalized PDFs. A three-step assistant guides you from your data to the finished copies.

  • Import CSV or enter records in the built-in table.
  • Connect columns to ordinary text fields or text elements. Click a field in the preview to select its mapping.
  • Review each record, then export one complete PDF per record. Your original stays unchanged.
  • Save the table as CSV, or explicitly include it in a template for reuse.
04 / 07

Your text. Right in your PDF.

Add your own text and edit it directly on the page with a double-click. The text element grows as you type. Add comments, sketches or stamps to get your point across.

  • Select words in your own text to highlight, underline or strike through.
  • Mark up existing PDF text without changing the original wording.
  • Add notes, arrows, shapes, freehand drawings and localized stamps.
  • Fine-tune colors, opacity, line weight and rotation.
05 / 07

Put every page in place.

Keep the big picture in view. Navigate a longer document and arrange its pages from the thumbnail sidebar.

  • Drag pages into a new order.
  • Rotate pages, remove them or append another PDF.
  • Start a new document or add a blank page.
06 / 07

Try it before you share it.

Step out of editing mode and use your PDF like a reader. Check how the form works before it reaches someone else.

  • Fill in fields without the editing tools in the way.
  • Save a copy, print or share your document.
  • Export a flattened copy when interactivity is no longer needed.
07 / 07

Your vectors. Part of your PDF.

Bring your own SVG graphics into a document as vector annotations. Keep them sharp while you scale, position and reuse them.

  • Import an SVG file or paste SVG data with ⌘V.
  • Adjust size, rotation, fill and stroke in the inspector.
  • Save imported graphics in your Element Library.

GOOD WORK DESERVES AN ENCORE

Create once.
Make it yours, again.

Two libraries. Less starting from scratch.

ELEMENT LIBRARY

Your favorites.
Always within reach.

That perfectly styled field. Your go-to stamp. A shape you use in every project. Save an element or a selection and bring it into another PDF.

  • Separate sections for fields and annotations.
  • Search names, text values and comments.
  • Blueprint previews, sorting and optional selection bounds.

TEMPLATE LIBRARY

A whole layout.
Ready for the next PDF.

Save form fields, annotations and guides as a template. Optionally include linked custom values so your layout works on another Mac, even without your local database.

  • Keep page assignments and positions; preview what you apply.
  • Include only the custom values your selected elements use.
  • Included values stay with the document; the other Mac’s database is not overwritten.
  • Get a warning when page size, count or rotation differs.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you get started.

PDF Eddini requires macOS 13 Ventura or later. It is a native Mac app, with a document-based workflow and familiar keyboard shortcuts.

Form fields use standard PDF AcroForms. Most capable PDF readers can fill them in, but support varies by reader and field type. Test important documents in the reader your recipients use.

Yes. Add a text element from the toolbar, then double-click it to type directly on the page. It grows automatically for longer lines and new paragraphs. Select individual words to highlight, underline or strike through them. These are text annotations, not fillable form fields. To edit a dynamic value manually, make it static first.

You can edit text elements you add in PDF Eddini. Existing page text can be highlighted, underlined or struck through, but its wording cannot be changed. OCR is not included. Signature fields are placeholders, not certificate-based digital signatures.

It creates a separate PDF with form fields and annotations permanently drawn onto the pages. Those fields can no longer be filled in. Use a normal save to keep a form interactive.

The Element Library keeps reusable individual elements or selections inside the app. The Template Library remembers template files containing fields, annotations and optional guides, including their page assignments.

Add ordinary text form fields or text elements to your PDF, then choose File → Create Series PDFs. Start with a CSV or enter your own table, map its columns to the PDF elements, and review the results. Export creates one complete PDF per selected record in a folder you choose. No special dynamic field type is needed.

Yes. Under Advanced Options in the Export step, select individual records, choose the number input region, customize filenames, and keep forms fillable, make personalized fields read-only, or flatten the copies. Date formats are set per field in Mapping. The app creates local files; it does not send emails.

The table stays with the open document while you work. Saving the PDF does not save the recipient table. Save it as CSV or explicitly enable Include Series Data when saving a template. That option is off by default because the table may contain personal information.

No. Only PDF Eddini updates dates and custom values. Other readers show the last saved text. Choose the update trigger in the inspector, or make the value static to stop updates.

Yes. Turn on “Include Custom Values” when saving the template. This is off by default and includes only referenced values, not your entire database. On another Mac they are used as document-local fallbacks; existing local values with the same ID take precedence. Review included values before sharing because they may contain personal data.

Choose “Export with Fixed Text…” to turn text annotations into page content in a separate copy. Form fields stay fillable and other annotations stay editable. “Export Flattened Copy” instead fixes every form field and annotation. Keep your editable original; fixed page text is not protection against editing with another PDF editor.

PDF Eddini imports supported SVG paths and shapes as vector annotations. Some SVG features are not supported, including embedded raster images, live text and complex effects. Convert text to paths and simplify unsupported artwork before importing.
