Who is responsible

Your documents stay with you
PDF Eddini processes PDFs, form fields, annotations and imported SVG graphics locally on your Mac. The app does not send document contents to HOsy. No user account is required. The app contains no tracking and no app-operated analytics or crash-reporting services.
Information stored locally
Preferences, recent document paths, template references and the Element Library are stored locally. Custom values such as text, numbers and amounts are kept in a local SQLite database; they are not intended for passwords or secrets. PDFs and template files you save remain in the location you choose. Remove unneeded entries in the app and delete files using Finder. Removing the app does not automatically delete your documents.
Custom values in templates
If you enable “Include Custom Values” when saving a template, its linked values, data types and formatting information are stored in the template file. This option is off by default. Applied values remain document-local and may be included in subsequently saved PDFs; they are not automatically imported into the local database. Visible text is part of saved elements even without this option. Review templates and PDFs for personal or confidential information before sharing.
Storage locations and sharing
If you save files in iCloud Drive, Dropbox or another synchronized folder, or share them through macOS, transfers are handled by the service you choose. PDF Eddini does not operate its own cloud storage. PDFs and templates can contain your content, comment author names, timestamps and document metadata. Review these before sharing.
Support requests
When you contact us, we receive your contact details, message and any files you choose to attach. We use these to respond, based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual requests, or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for our legitimate interest in answering other inquiries. We retain this information only as long as needed for that purpose or required by statutory retention obligations. Please use an anonymized example instead of confidential documents whenever possible. See HOsy’s Privacy Policy for additional information.
This website
This product website contains no analytics scripts, advertising trackers or external font services. Images and Bootstrap are served by the same web server; fonts are provided by your operating system. Requests involve technically necessary connection data such as your IP address, request time, requested page and browser information. HOsy’s Privacy Policy explains hosting, server logs and their retention on hosy.de. This processing is separate from the local handling of your documents in the app.
Mac App Store and purchases
PDF Eddini uses Apple’s StoreKit for the trial, the full-version purchase and restoring purchases. These system services communicate with Apple. The app verifies purchase and entitlement information supplied by Apple; your PDF contents are not transmitted for this purpose. Apple processes payment details and does not provide them to HOsy. The App Store and optional macOS diagnostics are also subject to Apple’s privacy information. External links open services whose providers are responsible for their own data processing.
Your privacy rights
Where the legal requirements apply, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data, and object to processing. You can withdraw consent for future processing. You may also complain to a data protection authority. Contact us at the address above to exercise your rights. The European Commission provides further information. We cannot access documents stored only on your device.
